the wait is finally over...

ATTEST IS BACK.

ATTEST formed in 2008 with Daniel Jordan (former vocalist from On Paradise Boulevard, 2006-08) on guitar, Robert Saye (former bassist for Kill LeBaron, 2005-07) on vocals, lloyd Ferguson on guitar, and Joel Penn on Bass. in 2009 ATTEST took an extended hiatus, it's future uncertain, as the founding members shifted their focus toward personal goals and aspirations. 

Eight years later, Daniel Jordan was in talks to revive ATTEST. Robert's brother, Ryan Saye, former vocalist of Kill LeBaron (2005-10) and Heirs (2016-17) took over vocal duties. Wade Jones, former drummer for Kill LeBaron (2005-10) and Woccon (2010-13) took over on drums. With a mutual affinity and admiration for hardcore, punk and metal of past and present, the new foundation was laid and the work began. 

PUTTING THE GEARS IN MOTION...

As the songwriting started, the maturity of the new core was apparent, as the math-y, disjointed rhythms that defined ATTEST's earlier work were abandoned, in favor of a stronger tendency toward the hardcore punk that gave birth to the genre. The rhythmic chemistry between Wade and Daniel, with equal parts precision and chaos, immediately began shaping the identity of the new sound, while Ryan's aggressive and percussive vocals chiseled out the final details. the result is an unrelentingly raw and visceral sonic assault that never eases off the pedal. ever.  

HAMMER TO THE NAIL...

ATTEST is set to release its first single – "sea digger" – in early to mid december 2021. the single was recorded and engineered by their guitarist daniel jordan at skybreaker studio, and mastered by Brad Boatright at audiosiege studio (seattle, WA).
